Kenneth King | President/CEO
Ken King founded ASAP Search after gaining over 15 years of experience as a recruiter in the healthcare industry. He graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelors Degree in Public Management, and began his career working at Maxim Healthcare Services where he specialized in Nurse staffing. He quickly learned what it took to survive in the competitive healthcare staffing market and became known as "The Rock" to other recruiters, by never letting his job orders go unfilled. Next, he joined the team at Career Strategies in Los Angeles. He impressed the CEO with his ability to generate new leads and develop new markets and was subsequently appointed to launch Finders International, a spin-off of Career Strategies that focused exclusively on Pharmacist/Physician staffing.
Afterward, he worked as a Consultant with Management Recruiters International (MRI) where he attracted top professionals in the areas of Allied Health by taking a consultative approach to clients and their needs. And most recently, as Director of Business Development for Nurse Consultants Inc., he was instrumental in expanding their primary business model to include private organizations, clinics and facilities in addition to government agencies.
The lack of staffing agencies available to support the growing demand for mid-level practitioners, such as nurse practitioners and physician assistants, inspired Ken to start his own business. His goal is to specialize solely in the healthcare industry and he strives to provide superior healthcare services to all populations regardless of geographical location. The mission of ASAP Search is to be the national leader in healthcare staffing by providing personalized, cost-effective and timely solutions to the clients they serve.
Ken resides in Murrieta, California with his wife, son and their two puppies. His priorities include spending time with family and friends, playing golf, running and basketball.
Kimberly King | Vice-President/CFO
With over 17 years of experience in Financial Services and Insurance Administration Kim is excited to bring her expertise to ASAP Search to oversee Operations and Government Contracts.
After earning her Bachelors Degree in Psychology from the University of Southern California, Kim began her career as the Accounts Payable Assistant Supervisor for a major oil producer. Her expert work product merited a promotion to Royalties Administrator, where she was responsible for issuing royalty payments to over 10,000 mineral owners.
Kim broadened her financial knowledge and obtained her Stock Broker and Investment Advisor credentials. Soon after, she embarked upon a rewarding career offering financial guidance to high net worth clients and small business owners while at Merrill Lynch Private Client Group.
A desire to serve the public led her away from the private sector and to the State Compensation Insurance Fund. There, she administered the Workers’ Compensation plans for State Agencies such as the California Highway Patrol and the California Department of Corrections under the Master Agreement with the Department of Personnel Administration. Her enthusiastic work and commitment to the injured workers of California was recognized with the President’s ACE Award for Corporate Excellence.
During her term as Assistant Claims Manager, Kim also served as State Fund’s Wellness Coordinator. Her dedication and contributions to the Wellness Program earned her the distinction of the Wellness Coordinator of the Year Award for Southern/Northern CA.
Kim is passionate about elevating the quality of patient care while delivering superior results to clients.
Ted Eguia | Consultant
ASAP Search Inc. welcomes Mr. Ted Eguia as Pharmacy Consultant for Northern and Southern California. Ted brings 25 years of expertise in relief pharmacy and nursing staffing services. Mr. Eguia has excelled with clients such as the California Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation, the Utah Department of Corrections and several federal agencies. Mr. Eguia attributes his success to building solid relationships with the healthcare staff and a commitment to providing excellent service.
Mr. Eguia received his B.S. in Commerce from University of Santo Tomas, a prestigious Catholic university in the Philippines. He is a co-founder of Shelter Innovator, Inc., a real estate company in the Philippines that specialized in selling mass housing projects to middle-income families. Mr. Eguia's last 5 years in the Philippines was as a sales supervisor with Zuellig Pharma, Inc., the number one distributor of multi-national pharmaceutical products, such as those of Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, etc. This introduction to the healthcare industry led him to the healthcare staffing industry which he enjoys today.
